The pattern is written in US English terms and assumes knowledge of the basic crochet stitches (slip stitch, chain, single crochet, double crochet). The pattern includes beginner friendly instructions on how to do the overlay mosaic technique as well as the envelope border. The pattern itself is provided in both written and chart format.
Crochet Terms: US
Yarn: Any (the pictured example is made with Stylecraft Special DK Cream and Claret on a 4 mm hook and the final piece is 117 cm x 177 cm)
Quantity of Yarn: 7 skeins of the main colour (claret - 2050 m m) | 6 skeins of the contrast colour (cream - 1760 m m) | 2 skeins of the border colour.
Hook Size: appropriate for the yarn chosen
Skill: Intermediate
Additional Materials: A hook 1 size down from your main hook to create the border.
