Abbreviations
The pattern is worked using US Crochet Terms. Conversions to UK terms are shown below in parentheses:
mr - magic ring
ch - chain stitch
sc - single crochet (dc - double crochet)
slst – slip stitch
inc - increase
dec - decrease
sc blo - sc back loop only (dc back loop only) To make a stitch in the back loop only, you have to insert your hook in the middle of the “v” and grab only the part of the “v” that is further from you, that is the back loop. Next, make the stitch as usually.
hdc – half double crochet (htr – half treble crochet)
dc – double crochet (tr – treble crochet)
tr – treble crochet (dtr – double treble crochet)
7dc cluster - Making a cluster stitch is almost the same as decreasing a stitch in crochet. If you are working with double crochet (dc), to decrease, you would dc7tog, creating a small cluster of 7 double crochets. You will use the same process to create a cluster stitch, just grouping more stitches together.
