Who doesn’t need their own dragon?

This pattern includes 2 body options and 2 leg options.

Dragon Lovey (green) features a flat blanket like body, lightly stuffed head, baby safe French knot eyes and teether links for feet. Teether links work best with Sport Weight, DK or Worsted Weight Yarn.

Dragon Buddy (purple) features a lightly stuffed body, optional safety eyes* or bead eyes* and knotted feet.

Foot and stuffing options are interchangeable as you desire.
Pattern has been written so it can be made with any weight yarn. Gauge isn’t important as long as you knit tightly enough to keep the stuffing from showing through.

The size and yardage required will vary greatly depending on your 
yarn weight.

As shown each dragon uses 2 colors, one for body, legs and ears designated as Main Color (MC) and Accent Color (AC) for scales and wings and optional scraps of darker yarn for French knot eyes.

ie: Dragon Lovey (green) is knit with Sport Weight Yarn, main color- 225 yds; accent color - 20 yds, Scraps darker contrast color for eyes

Finished size was 19” nose to tail, 8” at widest point

For safety reasons please use French knots eyes for any child under 3 years of age.

Dragon starts at the tail and ends at nose, all in one piece. Scales, wings and ears are knit flat separately and grafted to body. Stitches are picked up and knit for legs.
