ERRATA: oops--as I was rereading my line by line and pattern notes, I realized that the number of cast on stitches (32) isn’t mentioned in the line by line.

Not long ago my BFF begged for Jessie Rayot’s Dragon Wing Cowl She (my friend, I don’t know about Jessie’s hands) is the original MS Cold Hands, so I figured she needed some dragon mitts to go along with. Jessie graciously gave permission to use her idea/technique and here they are. If you need a smaller size, I suggest knitting to a tighter gauge, possibly with a lighter yarn.

A word on gauge--I have really loose knitting, to the point where I usually have a dpn fall out of the stitches. If you normally use the same size needle recommended on the ball band, try thes watch with 7’s first

Materials
Aran or heavy Worsted weight yarn--as shown, these took 120 yards. Luminosa is a very GRABBY yarn, making raveling the braid stitches tricky. Make your life simpler and choose something superwash, silky, or at least not fuzzy.
Size 5 and size 4 dpns, or long circulars for magic loop
3 stitch markers
A small length of yarn suitable for holding thumb stitches
Large crochet hook--optional but useful
Needle for weaving in ends.

Pattern includes some modifications for longer and shorter cuffs, and omitting the short rows for a pointless variety.

This pattern has not been test knit (except by me) so if you find any mistakes please let me know.

There are two pdf files. ONe with pattern notes, and the row by row
because i did it in a spreadsheet and couldn’t figure out how to combine them into one file. Sorry.

This pattern is free. While you cannot sell the pattern, if you want to sell the finished mitts, go for it.
