Inspired by the mascot of a college sorority, I sought to create a dragon pattern that showed both the power and beauty displayed by strong, loving leaders. This scarf is emblazoned with a majestic Western dragon which is double-knitted in contrasting colors, so both sides of the scarf can be proudly displayed. The center of the scarf may be customized to make a perfect gift by adding a name using characters found in my “Dragon Fire” Knit Kit (This will be added to Ravelry shortly!).

This pattern includes a chart for double knitting this scarf.

Yarn: 400 yards each of 2 contrasting colors of Fingerling weight yarn. I used Yarn Bee Authentic Hand-Dyed Yarn in Dark Denim and Roasted Pepita

Needles: US2 straight needles

Gauge: 28 stitches x 36 rows = 4”

Sizing: One size fits most. Sizing can also be adjusted by adding or removing rows from the middle of the scarf, Finished product is 5” x 5’
