Knitted cuff down, Dragonflies features a layered, folded cuff which is particularly eye catching to knit in different colours.
The main body of the sock uses long strands of yarn slipped in different directions to create the dragonflies. The pattern works well on most types of yarn including variegated and self striping. The back of the leg on the longer sock features a pretty knot stitch to add interest and texture.
The pattern also includes instructions for a shortie version, which can be adapted to work with any front of leg pattern.
It also features a simple slipped stitch heel worked in the contrast yarn.
