Dragonflies for Cassi
This pattern is still in the testing phases and will have photos to go with the pattern soon.
This shawl was designed with a dear friend in mind Cassiopia. A friend of mine from Australia passed away a little over a year ago. Her favorite color was purple. I have been trying to get this shawl out for about that long now. She was an amazing woman! So funny, caring and blunt (whether you liked it or not) and I loved her for it. She touched so many hearts in such a short time. I actually met her through a mutual crochet and yarn friend and we became friend from there. I miss our online chats and think of her all the time.
I designed this shawl with basically any yarn weight in mind. It all depends on how big and how thick you want it to be. It is a pretty large shawl though so keep that in mind.
The DK version is about 6’ or so long and at least 3 feet deep. The fingering version will not be as big.
The shawl is a great beginners shawl but may have stitches in it you may not have heard of or used before. DO NOT let that discourage you. There are a ton of youtube videos out fro every stitch I used.
Use whatever yarn you fancy and use a needle that is larger than is recommended for the perfect drape.
