Dragonfly DayDream Scarf
This is a straightforward double knitting pattern. Nothing tricky.
With only 29 stitches to work on and worsted weight yarn, it knits up fast!
The directions are written up for someone with little double knitting experience….so don’t be afraid to dive in!
The handspun yarn I used was a little lighter than the average worsted weight….I think you could use either worsted, or DK.
The length of this scarf came out to 7” x 62” with the yarn I used, it could be altered by leaving out one of the center section repeats. This would shorten it by about 10 inches.
I used 300 yards of each color, but it was squeaky close. I would recommend getting at least 315 yards of each color, and 325 would definitely leave room to breathe.
ERRATA: pg 3. Just before bind off.
“…Now, work Chart A through B again. Repeat rows 10-33 on chart A….” Should read —-Repeat rows 11-33. (Sorry for the in inconvenience!)
Enjoy!
