Dragonheart is created using the overlay mosaic technique.

The PDF has one easy-to-read chart, with corresponding written instructions (using US terms).

You can use any yarn and corresponding hook you like for this pattern, just remember a tighter tension is better for mosaic crochet.

If using Stylecraft Special DK you will need approximately 10 skeins for the main body of the blanket.
6 Skeins of Colour A and 4 Skeins of Colour B.
This will create a blanket approx 120cm x 90cm

Add another 2 - 3 skeins for the border - depending on what you decide to do with the border.

You can of course create any size you want as it’s a simple repeating pattern. This pattern is made special by the use of colours and looks good in either two-tone or multicoloured. Variegated yarn always looks good in patterns such as this.
