Dragonite Pokémon Toy
The majority of this is crocheted in the round with the 3mm hook. Support wires are used throughout the pattern. I know they can be a bit intimidating sometimes but they’re not as bad as you think and they really are worth it!
I managed to finish this in 29 hours, but that’s while I was designing and frogging all the time.
It’s unlikely you’ll be able to find the exact yarns I used because they’re the local brands here in New Zealand, but any acrylic, cotton or wool should work here. I would just recommend you stay within the same brand/gauge for the main parts so they scale and work up relatively the same. I used cotton for the claws to help get a cleaner shape but I’m sure you could get away with using acrylic here too. Embroidery thread is recommended for the antenna to get a nice small thickness here.
I used less than one skein of both the black and cream embroidery threads for all details and antenna.
