This is my original design that I created for my kids, based on the children’s book “Dragons Love Tacos” by Adam Rubin and illustrated by Daniel Salmieri. This pattern is purely fan art (flattery in its highest form), and is in no way associated with the author, illustrator, or publisher of the book. Crochet this taco-loving dragon with love for your kids, grandkids, or a new baby in your life!

This is an easy project to crochet, most of which is crocheted in the round. It’s also a great stash buster since it only takes partial skeins of yarn--only a quarter of a 3.5-oz skein of red yarn, and scraps of all the other colors. The pieces are crocheted individually, then sewn together—no special materials needed. Your finished dragon will measure about 8” (20.32 cm) tall.

I used a 3 mm hook, but a 3.25 mm (D) hook would be fine also.
