This shawl is written for a worsted weight yarn but any weight yarn can be used by following the instructions for adjusting the size in the pattern. Pattern is written in American English Terminology with detailed diagrams and illustrations.

This pattern has just finished a third round of testing. I have simplified the spine to make it much easier to work. The simple version is written with an option for the lace insert (shown). The optional lace insert is charted and the knitter should know how to work the written instructions and the lace insert at the same time.

For previous versions here are the error corrections:
Rows 9, 13, and 17 should end as
….2 times, K1, SM, K1, YO, K to 2 stitches before marker, S2KPSM, K to 6 stitches from the end, YO, K1, SKP, YO, K3

Row 15 …..K to 6 stitches from the end, YO, K1, SKP, YO, K3”

An error was notated and corrected 3/6/13
It affects the lace insert only
Example: if working Row 4 of the written directions you would S1PW, K2, YO, K to spine marker, YO, SM, S2KP, YO, K to last 3 stitches, YO, K3.
