The short rows on this hat make it a fun knit as well giving it a 3-D texture - just like I envision a Dragon’s Skin to be. The hat is worked in the round, however on round 6 of the pattern you will need to join the short rows in a unique way, but the pattern has full directions.

Sizes included in the pattern are for baby, child and adult. You will need 2 colors. The sample show The Fiber Seed’s Sprout DK in Mint Chocolate Chip in their Speckled dye technique and Espresso, but any 2 colors will do. For the adult hat you will use about 2/3 of the skein
of the Speckled dye and about 1/4 of the Espresso. So you can make a second one if you reverse the color scheme.
