While watching a period drama a bit back, a character was wearing a headscarf in a such a way that it created the most beautiful square fold. After many pauses and screen capturing of as many angles as I could, I grabbed a bandana and went to work. Folding here and there, tucking this and pinning that. Many, many attempts later, I figured out how to achieve the square fold in a way that would work for knitting.
