Drambuie
This is my take on the dolman sleeved sweaters I’m seeing in the stores this season. I wanted one with a tad more of a body hugging shape, and a little less of a batwing.
A slightly dropped sleeve, traditional waist shaping and a vertical cable for a flattering line did the trick. Details along the shoulder draw the eye up and give the dolman effect, without all the extra fabric, while an elegant cable down one side accents your curves, instead of hiding them.
Short sleeves balance the silhouette nicely and look great with a fitted tee underneath. Simple construction and lots of hints make this easy to modify for any alternate width or length you think will be flattering on you. You can adjust the ease for either hips, bust or waist as necessary for a custom fit.
The Canopy is soft and light wearing, and comes in an array of beautiful colors that would be lovely in this sweater. If subbing yarn, I suggest a light and drapey fiber, and a subtle tweed or heather. Nothing too dense, and nothing too heavy.
