Draped in Summer is a lightweight, drapey blanket for those times of the year when the weather can’t decide what it wants to do. It’s an adjustable size blanket pattern with instructions for baby, lap, and twin sizes. This blanket is an easy stitch sampler - an engaging next step for beginner knitters, and a meditative knit for experienced knitters. The pattern changes just enough to keep the knitter entertained while allowing them to perfect the stitch. (Dinosaurs not included)

Level: advanced beginner
Size: adjustable. Recommendations given for twin, lap, and baby sizes, as well as customizing the blanket size.
Gauge: 24 stitches per 4” in garter stitch
Materials: 2 stitch markers
Needles: a circular needle sized to obtain gauge. Suggested size US 4, 3.5mm, cable length at least 16 inches
Yarn: Lion Brand Coboo, . A similar DK weight (size 3) yarn with high rayon content and good drape may be substituted.
Skills: cast on, bind off, knit, purl, yarn over, slip stitch, pass slipped stitch over, knit two stitches together
