Drawstring Backpack
I initially created this to hold my little dog’s extras when we took him to the ren fest, like his snacks & poo bags, so made as written this will not make a backpack big enough to carry many large items, though it is easy enough to increase the size. Bag pictured is about 9” deep & 6.5” across bottom.
Materials needed:
J-6mm hook
Worsted weight or bulky yarn (I used three strands of a very thin yarn that was given to me), to help make it a little sturdier and increase the size a bit, you could hold two strands of worsted together if you want.
One larger button (about 1.5”) and a couple of large hole beads for the ends of the drawstrings.
Worked in the round from the bottom up, flap is worked in rows.
To be honest, I never checked the gauge and I’m not 100% sure on the yards used, but if you have at least 300 yards it should be enough.
Pattern not tested. I have double checked it, but please feel free to message me with any questions.
