Draya the dragon is a crochet pattern for a medium to large crochet dragon depending on the size of the yarn you use to make her. The green version was made with 4ply yarn and a 2,5mm hook and it stands 40cm tall. The red version was made with chunky chenille yarn and a 3,5mm hook and it stands 60cm tall. This pattern uses very minimal wire work just to hold the weight of the head up and to make the position of the head adjustable. Draya can be made with any type and size of yarn as long as you use a hook size that matches your yarn size. Remember that a bigger dragon will require stronger wire and a longer piece while a smaller dragon will require less.
