DreadHead
This is a fun little bit of quirk and whimsy that’s great for using up bits and bobs of yarn. As stated in the name, this pattern shows you how to make your very own custom shrunken head aka DreadHead. How wicked fun is that???
Things to note:
Gauge isn’t super important. But you do want a nice firm fabric for the head so that the stuffing doesn’t show.
Fingering - use US 1, 1.5, or 2
Sport - use US 2, 3, or 4
DK - use 3, 4, or 5
Worsted - use 4, 5, or 6
You get the idea. If you are using thicker yarn, use a bigger needled. But be sure to make that nice, firm fabric. PLUS, if the fabric is thicker, the head will be bigger.
Just have all kinds of fun with it. I sure did!
