These dreadlock hats/tams are quite popular! I’ve designed this pattern to produce a very comfortable tam that can hold its shape really well even with lots of wear, in addition to accommodating a wide variety of dreadlock lengths and thicknesses. Supplies needed:
Yarn: One skein of worsted weight #4 yarn in any color or combination of colors. I used Red Heart Super Saver but you can use any yarn you prefer.
Approx 3 ft length of ⅛” elastic
Hook: 5.5 mm
Weaving needle
Scissors
