I started with a completely different design, but thought this up while I was half asleep and knew I had to frog what I’d done, no matter how impractical, to follow the inspiration. And I have no regrets, because I’m completely in love with the end result. The Dream of Diamonds Wrap is a reminder to follow your dreams, whatever you may be dreaming of, and to pursue the things that inspire you and make you happiest.

The Dream of Diamonds Wrap is designed to be exceedingly wearable. The textured diamond is precisely in the center of the wrap. It’s reversible, and the wrap can be worn in a million different ways to display different parts of the diamond. You can also flip it so it goes light to dark or dark to light. The wrap is worked flat, from the bottom up. It’s customizable and includes instructions for making the wrap bigger or smaller.

Yarn, Yardage, and Colors
The pattern calls for three skeins in coordinating colors, with an equal amount of each color. It was designed for a varigradient or similar fade set, but also works amazingly in just one color. It pairs best with a solid, lightly speckled, or gradient, or any other color style that will show off the texture. The sample is shown in a fingering weight but works well in anything from a laceweight to a chunky. It’s adjustable to work with any yardage.

Construction
The wrap is worked flat, in one piece from the bottom up.

Customizations
Notes are included for adjusting the following: making the wrap wider/narrower; making the wrap longer/shorter; adjusting for colors and yardage

The Dream of Diamonds Wrap is a rectangular wrap. The wrap is mostly solid with a textured diamond centered in the middle of the wrap.
