I have always had a fascination with wolves, ever since one sidled out of Yosemite forest at dusk and made eye contact with me. I was about 22 years old and that moment with nature has stayed with me forever! I like to think that the combination of the wolf with the dreamcatchers give a mystical feel to this beautiful shawl.
The pattern was developed for my mum to create as she ‘fancied a challenge’. So between me and my mum we came up with the idea that I would design her some ‘challenges’ and she would enjoy creating them. And here we are!
We have developed the pattern in different formats to follow: in a grid/block chart pattern to follow throughout, crochet symbols (for the first 10 rows so that you understand how to increase on each row) and written instructions for the first few lines until you get into the swing of it!
The yarn used was a 4 ply which created an adult size shawl.
Knowledge of filet crochet is needed to be able to do this project. Filet crochet is not hard to learn and there are you tube video to help
