Dreamcatcher Cardigan
-Finished Size 13 (14 1/4, 15 1/4)“ back width, 36 (40 1/2, 45)” diameter, and 13 1/4 (14 1/2, 15 1/2)“ sleeve circumference. Cardigan shown measures 13”.
-Yarn Brown Sheep Company Shepherd’s Shades (100% wool; 131 yd 120 m/3 1/2 oz 100 g): #SS371 chipotle (dark rust; MC), 6 (8, 10) balls; #SS542 marsh grass (green-brown; A) and #SS331 cayenne (orange-red; B), 2 balls each; #SS335 apricot (C), #SS184 dove grey (D), and #SS763 silver blueberry (E), 1 ball each.
-Needles Size 9 (5.5 mm): 24” and 36” circulars (cir) and set of double-pointed (dpn). Size 6 (4 mm): 24” cir and set of dpn. Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
-Notions Markers (m); tapestry needle; waste yarn for inserting sleeves.
-Gauge 15 sts and 28 rnds = 4” in garter st on larger needle.
The Dreamcatcher Cardigan begins at the center back with a colorwork panel and is then worked outward in a circular shape. An Aran-weight wool in five saturated colors knits up for a cozy, eye-catching piece.
