This symmetrical, triangular shawl is knitted in 2 bright, contrasting colors. It contains different textures and clear, graphical colorwork which is knitted in mosaic technic.
For this shawl you will need 2 skeins / 200 g of fingering weight yarn (400 – 420 m / 430 – 460 yards / 100 g) in 2 contrasting colors.

Summer is here! Who doesn’t want to go on holiday now? Lately I saw a picture of the famous lagoon on Zakynthos Island, Greece. The bright blue and turquoise colors make me want to just dive into the Ionic sea…
To give this shawl an extra touch of mediterranean holiday feeling, I designed the colorwork panels just like old Greek borders. And as I’m knitting, I’m dreaming me away…

Construction:
The shawl is knitted flat from top down. Increases are worked at both sides and at the middle spine. An I-cord is worked at the upper edge, to give it a nice and tidy finishing. Different structures, a bit of lace and 3 Mosaic borders keep you entertained.

2 x 100 g fingering weight yarn, yardage 400 – 420 m / 430 – 460 yards / 100 g

Gauge:
22 sts / 34 r = 10 cm / 4“ in stockinette stitch

Needles and notions:
• 4,0 mm (US 6) circular needle 80 – 100 cm / 31,5 - 40“ (or other needle size to get the required gauge)
• 4 stitch markers

Dieses Dreieckstuch in klassischer, symmetrischer Form besticht durch lebhafte Farbkontraste und klare, grafische Muster, die in Mosaiktechnik gestrickt werden.
Für das Tuch werden 2 Stränge (je 100 g) handgefärbter Wolle in Sockenwollstärke (Lauflänge 400 – 420 m) in stark kontrastierenden Farbtönen verwendet.

Der Sommer ist da! Wer würde jetzt nicht gerne in den Urlaub fahren? Vielleicht auf die griechische Insel Zakynthos, vor der das Ionische Meer in den schönsten Türkis- und Blautönen schimmert und zum Abtauchen einlädt..
Passend dazu sind die Bordürenmuster an klassische griechische Muster angelehnt.

Konstruktion:
Das Tuch wird ausgehend von der oberen Mitte von oben nach unten gestrickt. Dabei wird sowohl an den Rändern als auch entlang der Mittelmasche zugenommen. Am oberen Rand des Dreieckstuches sorgt ein Kordelrand für einen sauberen und stabilen Abschluss. Verschiedene Strukturen, Lace-Muster und Mosaikmuster in kraus rechts und glatt rechts lassen beim Stricken keine Langeweile aufkommen.
