I love traveling by train and I’m equally fascinated by islands. Dreampath is my imaginary 3-stop island tour by train.
The cast-on to the trip begins in Shetland followed by Faroe and finally bind-off ends in Iceland.
I chose motifs traditional to each island’s culture with waves separating the 3 stops of my tour.

The sample in the first picture has been knit with 610.24 yd – 558 m of heavy laceweight 50% Merino wool / 50% silk (656 yd – 600 m on 3.53 oz – 100 g) and needles size 3.75 mm - US size 5.

Finished measurement of the sample in the first picture: 19.29” / 49 cm from neck to bottom in its largest part, 58.27” / 148 cm from tip to tip of the top edge.

Gauge: 21 sts x 27 rows on 4” / 10 cm in stockinette st., blocked.
