Dreams of Omaha
Several years ago, I was about 4000 miles away from having airline mileage status for the first time. A friend in the same situation started looking for places we could go to get the miles we needed, and created a plan to go to Omaha for a day.
That trip didn’t happen, but Omaha became a magical place in my mind. It’s now the city I say I’m running away to when everyday life gets too stressful and chaotic.
Perhaps it’s odd that I now half-jokingly threaten to move to a seemingly random city I’ve never been to and know nothing about, but then again, I did grow up listening to my parents dream of moving to Spokane, despite never having been to Washington…
Dreams of Omaha is a cowl featuring thick lace stripes divided by garter stitch. The cowl is worked entirely in the round. Pattern is both written and charted.
Stitches required: knit, purl, yo, central double decrease
This pattern is perfect for leftovers and mini skeins.
