Dreamweaver is worked in several stages. The first stage creates the bottom lace border. The second stage creates the scarf body. The final stage creates the top lace edging that is sewn onto the body.

This pattern starts off with the lace edge worked sideways to create the bottom border. Stitches are then picked up along the edge. When the scarf reaches the desired length, the top lace edge is worked in a strip then sewn onto the top edge.
