This lace crescent-shaped shawl is worked from the center back of the neck down to the border.
The pattern includes charts and all the necessary pattern notes; row-by-row written instructions are not included. Charts show only the right-side (odd-numbered) rows. Wrong-side rows are always purled, except for the edge stitches.
Gauge is not crucial and can be changed to fit the desired yarn. Finished measurements and the yardage will depend on yarn choice, needle size and your individual manner of knitting.
SKILL LEVEL: Intermediate
MATERIALS USED:
• Size 3.5 mm / US 4 circular needles;
• Size 2.0 mm crochet hook for binding off;
• Stitch markers, tapestry needle, waste yarn (optional).
It is strongly recommended to use either natural fiber yarn (linen, cotton, wool, and silk) or yarn comprising a minimum synthetic content; approximately 500 to 800 m (547 to 875 yds) per 100 g.
The sample shown has been worked in Ecomahair M-04 Yarn (72% kid mohair, 28% polyamide; 750 m / 820 yds per 100 g). The sample required 765 m/837 yds (102 g) of yarn.
