A beloved style from our Fall 2021 KAL, the Dreamy Cardi Pattern is all about highlighting our most unique yarn, Dreamland. As you knit Dreamland, little flower appliques, ribbons, sparkles and fun trims pop up to meet you! All of this goodness is handspun right into this unique art yarn. Design-wise, this cardi is a seamless style worked flat from the top down. The stitches and techniques are simple, making this design ideal for beginner or first time sweater knitters or really anyone who wants to knit with this happy yarn.

Skill Level: Emerging Beginner to Intermediate Knitter

Needle Size:

Size US 19 (15 mm) 32-40” / 80-100 cm circular needle or size needed to obtain gauge plus additional needles of the same size for your preference of small circumference knitting.

Adjust needle sizes as necessary to match gauge.

Fit Note:

Recommended to be worn with 6-8” / 15-20.5 cm of positive ease at the bust. Samples are shown in a size 2 on a 32” / 80 cm bust with 11” / 28 cm of positive ease and in a size 5 on a 40” / 100 cm bust with 11.5” / 29 cm of positive ease.

Gauge:

5.5 sts and 9 rows = 4” / 10 cm in stockinette stitch worked flat, steam blocked

6 sts and 9 rows = 4” / 10 cm in stockinette stitch worked in the round, steam blocked

Note: Gauge can vary slightly depending on the type of Dreamland yarn used.

7 (8, 9, 9, 10, 11)12, 12, 13, 14, 15 skeins Dreamland (a mix of (mostly!) wool, a little mohair, and 1% sparkling Angelina fibers-each colorway is slightly different; approx. 35-40 yds / 125 g)
