The best, softest chunky cardigan - and you can make it yourself with this beginners pattern!

Designed to keep you beautifully cosy as well as staying right on trend, this slouchy cardigan will slot perfectly into your year-round wardrobe. Wear around the BBQ on the cooler summer evenings, or keep toasty warm during winter, this cardigan can be dressed up or dressed down. Such a fashion staple and using the Lauren Aston Designs softest, dreamiest Merino wool there will be no itchy skin even when worn over a vest top. 

The cardigan has a subtle rib down each edge as well as the bottom, neckline and cuffs and slowly tapers in at the front. The sleeves are designed to be full length or you can fold the ribbed cuff over to make them three-quarter length. 

Suitable for sizes 6-22, this kit is simple enough for a confident beginner, but is also enjoyable for those more experienced knitters - using basic stitches of knit and purl with a small amount of shaping. 

Once knitted up you can hand wash your cardigan and simply lay it flat to dry. (if using Lauren Aston Designs Yarn)
