Drekin is an elegant Faroese style shawl knit from the top down. It is knit in garter stitch and contains a brioche center panel making it reversible. The wings have shoulder shaping, and a lace pattern reminiscent of scales/feathers.

Dreki is the Faroese word for Dragon!

Main Color - Dragonfly Fibers - Dragon Sock in the Peach Melba color way, 1100 yards
Contrast Color - Madelinetosh - Tosh Sock in the Hosta Blue color way, 150 yards

Gauge
18 sts & 32 rows = 4” / 10 cm in garter stitch, blocked

Finished Size Blocked
39” / 99 cm depth by 86” / 218 cm wingspan (Model in photographs is 5’ 4” tall)

• US #7/4.5mm 60-inch circular needle (You can also choose to use two 32 to 40 inch needles - one for each ‘wing’ of the shawl)
• Two US #3/3.25mm double pointed needles
• Two DPN tip protectors
• 9 Stitch markers (one that can open/clip)
• Darning needle
