Dressed to Dulcet
This is my Dressed to Dulcet pattern,
This pattern is full of spunk that can transcend any era and suit any season. With it’s flowing lines that follow the drape it is quite flattering for any figure shape and size. There has been a different vibe from those I have asked for their opinion on what this pattern makes them think of. Retro was one word that came to mind, Victorian, the 60’s, the colour evokes different emotions also. Dulcet means pleasing, sweet and soothing nature. So there is no limitation on how it is perceived. Just simply what you make of it.
For me the beauty of this design is how versatile it can be. You can change the length in both the bodice and the sleeves, the width of the bodice and the sleeves, and the colour combinations from multiple colours to one uniform colour. I have made a dress that comes to just above my knees with long sleeves and also a top that comes to my hips with 3/4 length sleeves. This was easily done with some simple measuring against my body…. More details are in the pattern notes and the pattern. I have also included a Youtube video link that is only available via the pattern to help with joining and placement.
What I find amazing is how quickly the look can change just through colour choice. This is a pattern that you can use over and over to create a different garment for any occasion. All you have to do is start.
