Drifting Lines has a simple knit and purl design that drifts around the hat before moving into a stockinette top. With both charts and written instructions, knitters can choose the most comfortable way to follow the pattern.
Yarn
Approximately 150 yards of aran weight yarn total
Hat Sample Shown in:
The Plucky Knitter Groovy 100% goat cashmere with 195 yards/100 grams - used approx. 120 yards/62 grams
Needles
1 US size 6 (4.0 mm), 16-inch circular
1 US size 7 (4.5 mm), 16-inch circular
1 set of US size 7 (4.5 mm) double pointed needles
Notions
Tapestry needle for weaving in ends
Stitch marker for marking beginning of round
Gauge
20 sts/30 rows = 4 inches in stockinette on US size 7 needles with The Plucky Knitter Groovy
Finished Size of Hat
Hat has a fitted rib and slightly slouchy body. Fits the average woman’s head.
