Drifting Ridges Hat
This hat is fun to make, easy to wear and looks good on everybody. The pattern makes a wonderful texture that is soft and stretchy yet retains its shape. A quickly decreasing crown creates the head-hugging shape.
Quillin Fiber Arts Zen Worsted (210 yds) was used for the main example. The 65% Merino/35% Bamboo blend feels so good next to the skin. The other example knit in Noro Kueon (100 meter) created interesting wide stripes.
The 8 row pattern repeat requires a small amount of concentration and is suitable for Advanced Beginner or Intermediate knitters. Knowledge of knitting on circular needles and switching to Double Points for the decreases is required.

I hope you enjoy knitting this pattern. Please let me know if you have any questions.
