Inspired by many rainy days in the Pacific NW.

The dripdrop shawl is a rounded wrap featuring drop stitches in meshy areas and long droplets. The bottom edging has a light ripple, like the water is pooling down. It can easily be worn with a shawl pin or open, as the gradual shaping allows it to skim close to the body.

Exciting techniques you’ll learn:

  • drop stitches in multiple configurations
  • making 3 stitches out of one in the base of a drop stitch
  • rounded edge enhanced by blocking
  • knitting from the top down

This shawl pattern has both charted and written instructions for whatever your preference!
