Drizzle on the Window Mitts
Make a pair of matching Drizzle Mitts to coordinate with your Drizzle on the Window Hat. Mitts are worked with a pretty ruffle cast on and stockinette cuff -- or substitute the seed rib used on the Drizzle Hat.
Errata A mistake was found on the right mitt, size large (49 sts). The correction was made and an update sent out.
Techniques: The design is charted only. Knitting, purling, adding beads. You will need to use dpns for this project, or magic loop if preferred.
Three Sizes of Beads Needed
Beads shown in the samples are silver-lined seed beads, glass, in 3 sizes (sz 3, 6, 8). Hook sizes are suggestions - use the hook size or bead method that works best for you. The size 3 beads are hard to find. Check here: Garden of Beadin’.
Sizes
Small 5 ¼ (Medium 5 ¾, Large 6 ¼, Extra large 6 ¾) inches wide to be worn with ~ ½ - 1 inch negative ease, or size to your preferred fit. These are approximate finished sizes, meant to be worn with ~1 inch of negative ease. Four sizes are included so you can adjust to your own yarn, gauge, and fit preferences.
Length
Approx. 6 ½ to 7 ¼ inches from cast on to bind off. These are short mitts.
Yarn Needed
One skein should be sufficient; if you plan on making the matching Drizzle Hat, purchase an extra skein.
When you purchase both the Drizzle on the Window Hat and mitts patterns, you will receive them for the discounted price of $10.00.
