The many droids in the Star Wars universe have inspired the design of these socks. The texture, made of little squares and fun easy cables, is a nod to the buttons, wires, and bits and bobs, inside and out of these fun characters that so often are integral to the stories we love so much. I hope this project makes you smile and May the Force be with You!

Yarn and notions:

Yarn: 70-100g Fingering weight (320-425 yards)
Sample in Fingering Sock Set (75% SW Merino, 25% Nylon) by Shirley Brian Yarn
Colourway: Programmed for Etiquette, Not Destruction

Needles:
2.5 mm needles with a long cable for magic loop (or dpns, or 9in circulars as you prefer)

Note:
This pattern features some cables which tend to make the knitted fabric a little tighter. I went up a needle size to 2.5mm for that reason. If you are a very tight knitter, you may wish to go up an additional size, to 2.75mm. Loose knitters may be able to knit these with 2.25mm though I highly suggest trying on your sock regularly throughout the project to ensure it fits comfortably over your heel.

Other notions: cable needle (though the stitch is easily achievable without and instructions include a video demonstration) , stitch markers, scissors, darning needle.

Gauge: 8 sts = 1 inch in stockinette

Nota Bene:

The instructions are written for 2 colours. You may of course decide to knit these socks in only one colour. Simply follow the instructions while omitting the colour changes.
