The Drop Dead Freddy Jumper is a top-down jumper, knitted both flat and in the round. It is knitted at a loose gauge with a relaxed fit. This garment was designed to be highly customisable, with simple but fun features. The project features drop shoulder construction, stripes, drop stitches & I-cord. This is a nod to my favourite jumper of my youth, a red and black striped jumper that I wore until it truly fell apart. I must also say, there was a little inspiration taken from Kurt Cobain, Freddy Kreuger and Drop Dead Fred, too.

Recommended yarn:
The sample uses both a fingering-weight and a lace-weight yarn held together and a lace- weight yarn held double. In the sample, black is the dominant colour.

Recommended needles:
Body - 6.5mm US 10 1/2 large circumference circular needle (e.g. 80-cm / 32-inch cable)

I-cord - 6mm US 10 small circumference circular needle (e.g. 60-cm / 24-inch cable)

Needle size is suggested only. You will need to swatch to determine the needle size needed to achieve gauge.

Gauge:
12 sts and 16 rows over 4” 10 cm in Stockinette stitch, both in the round and flat after blocking.
You might need to adjust needle size when changing between knitting flat and in the round.
