The Drop Stitch Braid Mitt is the partner to the matching Hat and is a quick knit with a worked flat cuff and a worked in the round body.
It comes in two sizes, 9 inch or 12 inch circumference, but could easily be adjusted for larger or smaller hands.
It uses 280-300 yds of fingering weight yarn and size 4 us needles for a gauge of 32 stitches by 44 rows per 4 inches. A small crochet hook would be helpful for picking up the floats from the dropped stitches but isn’t necessary.
Check the end of the pattern for a brief photo tutorial for making the drop stitch braids.
