The Droplet Cardigan is a light weight cardigan knitted from top-down with raglan shaping intended to be wardrobe staple. It is a seamless knit that features a simple repetitive texture and V-neck shaping. The yoke is knitted from the top-down, back and forth in rows where you will then separate for the sleeves, and continue working the body to your preferred length back and forth. The sleeve stitches are picked back up and worked in the round to your preferred length, which are tapered by making decreases as you go. The cardigan is finished with 2x2 ribbing for the sleeve cuffs and body hem. The button band is created by picking up stitches along the inner edge, and is knitted by using the double knitting technique, in which there is written instruction and a video link, and also demonstrates how to add buttonholes.

This cardigan is intended to have 2 - 6” 5 - 15cm positive ease around the bust. If you are not making a cropped version (waist length), please consider choosing a size that includes your hip measurements within the finished size measurements (zero or positive ease on the hips) to ensure that the cardigan closes around your hips. If you measure in between sizes, decide how much positive ease you wish to have, based on the recommended amount of positive ease of 2 - 6” 5 - 15cm.
