This pattern and yarn was inspired by an image of the coral reef, the blue dropped stitches represent the ocean and the multi coloured garter stitch depicts the vibrant coral.
This shawl is knit using 4 ply yarn on 3mm needles

100g 4ply 75% superwash merino 25% nylon in Navy (420m)
100g 4ply 75% superwash merino 25% nylon in Coral Reef (420)
OR

100g 4ply 75% merino 20% Yak 5% Nylon in Nessie (400m)
It creates an asymmetrical shawl which when blocked measures approximately 190cm x 135cm x 90cm
