This is an original pattern based on a pattern from a Japanese stitch dictionary. I started knitting these socks in the car a few months ago, trying to kill some time, not knowing how it would work out if at all. It is knit top-down with a square heel. I think the pattern would look better in a more solid colorway. In any case, the resulting sock is deliciously squishy and snug. I’m happy with the way they turned out.
Update: Pattern can be found here! Small warning: It is rather high-level and assumes you’re pretty familiar with the basic construction of a sock. If you need step-by-step instructions when knitting a sock, this pattern will probably frustrate you!
