1 skein of Cover Story by Lion Brand or about 547 yds of super bulky chenille yarn.
I recommend a chenille yarn because it adds a lovely soft texture and gives the knit stitches a whole new look

Needles
The below needle size will yield a nice airy and comfy blanket. For a warmer but smaller blanket, I suggest going down a couple of needle sizes to create a tighter fabric.

Gauge
Gauge is not necessary and can be used just as a suggestion:
6 sts / 8 rows = a 4x4 in / 10x10 cm swatch in stockinette, blocked.

Construction
This throw is knitted flat using a combination of stitch motifs. The knitter is encouraged to mix and match motifs to create their own unique blanket. For my blanket I began a new motif anytime I got bored of the last one!
