The geometric components of this shawl are constructed with a multi-directional technique. Two triangles of perpendicular garter ridges flank an eyelet center section reminiscent of a rocky creek bed. This project includes a knitted cast on, short rows, double yarn-overs, make-one increases, a ssk bind off, and a single crochet edge. It is knit in one piece with no picked-up stitches. Although the shawl in the photo uses the same yarn throughout the project, the design affords the opportunity to experiment with different colors for each of the three sections.

Dimension: approximately 65” long and 28” at center back
