Duality Kerchief Scarf—Crochet
Yarn: Samples were worked in superwash wool using 100g skeins (245 yd/100g DK; 218 yd/100g worsted; 106 yd/100g bulky)
DK or WORSTED weight: 1 skein each of 2 colors
BULKY weight: 1 skein Color 1, 2 skeins Color 2
Gauge: Gauge is not critical, but here are my (unblocked in moss stitch) measurements for each weight using the hook sizes specified below:
DK:4 st/inch
WORSTED: 3.5 st/inch
BULKY: 3 st/inch
Hooks: A larger hook is used so that after blocking the scarf will have a nice drape and not result in a too-bulky fabric, but if your starting fabric feels loose, drop down a hook size.
DK: K (6.5mm)
WORSTED: 7mm
BULKY: N (10 mm)
Notions: Yarn needle (for weaving in ends); One removable stitch marker to mark right side (optional)
Measurements: DK: 40” x 22”; WORSTED: 46” x 24”; BULKY: 44” x 24”
Skill Level: Adventurous Beginner
This pattern is meant to be a recipe. Strict adherence is unnecessary. Play and experiment!
