Original pattern calls for sewing silk and fine needles.

Cast on 10 stitches, knit 2 rounds, then follow chart (Typensatz) I, rounds 3-38.

Round 39 is a crocheted cast-off:

Take three knitted stitches off at a time (all around) and crochet a chain of 3 stitches, up to the mark, and chains of 5 stitches over the flower.

The finished work is pinned out and blocked.
