Duck you! (not really)
Do you ever find yourself really wanting to convey a message to someone in the funniest way possible? Then this amigurumi might be just what you’re looking for. It can add a splash of humor to your office desk. It can make a great gag gift.
I designed this duck with #4 medium worsted weight acrylic yarn using a 3.0mm hook. Any weight yarn and appropriate corresponding hook will work. It took less than a 60g skein of white yarn and minimal amount of orange yarn. I used 4mm eyes but embroidering around a single stitch will give a similar look.
This pattern has minimal sewing to make it as close to beginner friendly as possible, although I’d still recommend an intermediate skill level because it does use a few rows of slip stitches in front loops to accomplish the shaping. Only the thumb, beak, and feet are sewn on. The fingers have shaping built into them so it might not even be necessary to tack them in position.
