When I think of octopi, the first word that comes to my mind is usually not “cute,” but as soon as I discovered the dumbo octopus, that changed! I always wanted a plushie of one, but most patterns I found were for amigurumi. So I decided to create my own! This pattern is easy to make and can be closed and stuffed to make a plushie, or left open on the bottom and worn like a hat. Either way, it’s a quick and snuggly make that aquatic animal fans will love!

You can use any weight 6 yarn for this, although I recommend blanket yarn to make it extra cozy. The hat is one size fits most, so be aware of that if attempting to change yarn weight, as it might affect the fit.
