This stuffed toy dog sweater was inspired by my love of fair isle and Shetland sweaters.

The sweater is knit in the round from the bottom up until the armholes, then the front and back are worked separately flat, then the front and back are connected to be worked again in the round for the neck.

The sample is knit with fingering weight yarn and 3mm needles, Jamieson’s 2-Ply Spindrift (Shetland Wool) with colours: 1 ball of Jade, 1 ball of Havana, 1 ball of Nighthawk, and 1 ball of Granite. One ball is 25 grams / 105 meters.

The pattern includes instructions for three sizes with chest circumference measurements of 12”, 14”, and 16”.
