Dune Shawl
This shawl is triangle shaped and worked from the centre out. It is best shown off using colour changing yarn. The name comes from the shapes that form which remind me of sand dunes.
The shawl measures approximately 152cm (60in) across the longest edge and 76cm (30in) high at the centre point.
Tension:
Before blocking: 1 repeat of the pattern measures approx. 4.25cm (1½in) across and 7 rows in the pattern measure approx. 7.25cm (2¾in) high using a 4mm hook.
After blocking: 1 repeat of the pattern measures approx. 5cm across and 7 rows in the pattern measure approx. 9cm (3½in) high.
Exact tension is not critical but may affect the size of the finished item.
UK terms are used throughout the pattern, equivalent US terms are listed in the abbreviations.
